Question about transferring ownership contract to children

We have a small contract that would be perfect for DS and his wife. Can we transfer it easily? Is it considered a resale or does DS retain all of the advantages of being a purchase from DVC?

If you are giving it to them it is called a gratuitous transfer and DVC will transfer it will all rights and benefits it had under your ownership. It does have to go thru ROFR but it’s essentially a sign off from DVC. There are instructions around on how to do it yourself or you can hire a title company to do it for you.

LT transfers is the best and cheapest I know. Remember it becomes separate if you change it. One consideration is just adding their names so they have privileges but you are still involved. Another is adding their name to everything so the contracts can be used together. Of course there are other considerations depending on the points involved and financials.
