Question about Toys on our trip

We are renting a car and plan to swing by Walmart or Target to buy diapers, formula, etc and not have to travel with it. We also thought we would buy some toys for the hotel room...nothing too fancy as he is 8 months, but maybe some balls and things like that.

Any ideas for toys that won't cost a fortune, but will entertain him?

Also, does anyone know where we can drop them off locally to donate before we fly home. We certainly don't want to transport them, but I would hate to just throw them out.

I have no real ideas but if you stop by the Walmart outside of DW, they have a lot of Disney stuff. Maybe you could pick up some Disney toys there and could then take them back as his souvenirs.
