Question about towels at BLT

Certainly don't want to derail the already derailed tipping mousekeeping thread So, I have started a new one for my question. We will be 5 + baby in a 1-bedroom at BLT. How many towels will we have? I read on the tipping thread that you cannot request more towels if you are staying on points. I've never stayed somewhere I couldn't request more towels so I just need to know if I have to bring a few extra towels. Also, what about bedding and pillows?

You can always order a towel packet for $6 that gives you an extra set of towels. You should have at least 4 towels and 2 hand towels and washcloths in each of the 2 bathrooms. You can buy more towels to use or you can wash the towels you have- you just can't get them for free.

Did you book your stay through Disney Reservation Center or through Disney Vacation Club? That makes a difference.

Also with the washer and dryer you can wash if you need to.

I would throw a couple of bath towels into your luggage, you can then wash them with the others. Any color but white.

If you want more of anything, here is the Pay as you Play schedule for DVC points/cash stays (not Disney Reservation Center stays):

Housekeeping
Trash & Towel Service
For stays of seven or less nights, Trash & Towel Service is provided on day four, regardless of whether you're using Member-discounted cash, Vacation Points or a combination of both.

With Trash & Towel service, Housekeeping will:

•Empty trash and replace liners in trash bins.
•Provide fresh bathroom linens.
•Replace shampoo, facial soap and bath soap.
•Replenish facial tissues, paper towels and toilet paper.
•Replenish coffee, sugar, cream and sweeteners.
•Replenish dishwashing liquid, dishwashing detergent, sponges and laundry detergent as needed in one-, two- and three-bedroom Vacation Homes.

Full Cleaning Service
For stays of eight or more nights, Full Cleaning Service is provided on day four and Trash & Towel Service is provided on day eight. After that, the cycle begins again on day 12, regardless of whether you're using Member-discounted cash, Vacation Points or a combination of both.

With Full Cleaning service, Housekeeping will provide everything included with the Trash & Towel Service, plus:

•Change the bed linens.
•Vacuum and dust the Vacation Home.
•Clean the bathroom(s).
•Clean the kitchen/kitchenette and wash the dishes.

Pay As You Play
With Pay As You Play service, you'll be provided with the following amenities free of charge at the start of your stay. After that, you may purchase more for the following fees:

•Toiletries Package, $5.00 - 1 facial soap, 1 bath soap, 1 shampoo, 1 conditioner, 1 shower gel
•Coffee Package, $3.00 - 1 package of coffee, 8 sugars, 8 creamers, 8 artificial sweeteners
•Towel Package, $6.00 - 4 bath towels, 2 hand towels, 4 washcloths, 1 bath mat
•Laundry Detergent (only in One-, Two-, and Three-bedroom Vacation Homes), $1.00 - 1 box

Additional Full Cleaning Rates:


•Studio/Inn Room - $30.00 per day requested
•One-Bedroom - $45.00 per day requested
•Two-Bedroom - $60.00 per day requested
•Three-Bedroom - $75.00 per day requested

Additional Trash & Towel Rates:


•Studio/Inn Room - $15.00 per day requested
•One-Bedroom - $20.00 per day requested
•Two-Bedroom - $25.00 per day requested
•Three-Bedroom - $35.00 per day requested

Room Change Fees:
Room change fee will apply for Member requested room changes after check-in for a different view or room location.

•Deluxe Studio - $30
•One-Bedroom Villa - $45
•Two-Bedroom Villa - $60
•Three-Bedroom Grand Villa - $75

We rented DVC points through a broker so I don't know how it was booked.

It sounds like there are 4 bath towels in each bathroom so we'd have 8 total. That will be fine for our family of 6. We are packing light so I plan to be washing a lot anyway.

Thanks for the list of what is provided. It looks like there is basically coffee, sugar/creamer, laundry detergent, soap, shampoo, etc. for ONE day or ONE use. Is that correct? I was planning to take most of those items anyways and don't mind, but I just want to be prepared. Also, my dh's parents are staying in their own 1BR so I need to let them know what to expect.

If you are renting through a broker, you are staying on points and the DVC rules that Deb & Bill quoted above will apply.

When we stayed at BLT in an accessible studio in July we had six bath towels and 6 face cloths. I think they must have run out of hand towels as we only had two. I rang housekeeping to ask for more and they fetched me 4 more bath towels (no charge).

No, and if you could you would pay an extra $20 for full clean. $45 for full clean in a one bedroom, $20 for Trash and Towel in the one bedroom.

But you would have to schedule the full clean and pay $45 for it.

Thanks? We only have a studio but sounds like you cant upgrade you just have to pay an addition if you want it. Fair enough! We might do that as we are there for two weeks and I have a compromised immune system due to a drug I have to take. So wanted it to be extra clean to avoid any infections etc. thanks for your help

OP, I know you didn't ask this question, but are you going to have enough room for the size of your group? Are they little, your kids? Search for BLT room pictures to make sure. My husband and I had a one Bedroom, and I am having trouble picturing where you all are going to sleep.

Hi Deb. how kind of you to be concerned! Its actually only me and my partner so just two adults. We go every year to SSR in a studio and are fine. I was just hijacking the thread because we always want more cleans! I didnt know about pay as you go! It was another member that started the thread had a larger group that maybe you had horror visions of! In England we would call that like a tin of sardines but dont know if you say the same! Wow, I hope we all fit I know the info on the room says it sleeps 5 + an under 3 child. My oldest child is 12 and small so her and her younger sister will be on the fold-out sofa. Our oldest son is not-quite 4 yo and he will be on the fold out chair/bed thing. Our baby will be in a pack-n-play. Dh & I in the bed. Seems alright. At least I hope so. Anyone not think we'll fit??? I obviously need to know now if we won't...

You'll have a lot of little feet running around, but smaller children don't take up as much space. I think you will be okay. If you had full grown kids, it would seem a lot more crowded.
