Question about tipping in Acapulco

After the wedding my son and his bride will be flying to Acapulco for 5 nights at the Las Brisas resort (it looks gorgeous) before they continue on to Puerto Vallarta for another 7 nights of honeymooning at a time share. Poor things


Are the rules for tipping there the same? Should he leave US dollars for this or should he exchange some dollars for pesos?

Anyone been to Acapulco? I've never been further than Nogales or Eagle Pass and I've certainly never stayed at a resort in Mexico.

That's a good question. I always thought US Dollars would be appreciated.
