I read through the tickets thread but couldn't find the answer to this particular question. Here is my situation. My husband and I decided to do an impromptu trip to WDW this December so he can finally see La Nouba before it goes away. We have a trip planned for the following January/February and were going to get annual passes for that trip. Now, we are just going to go ahead and get the annual passes this December. However, we aren't buying our tickets through Disney. My husband's work offers a discount on tickets so we are going through them. They do not offer annual passes at all so we will buy 10 day park hopper tickets and upgrade to the annual pass when we get to WDW in December. No big deal.
BUT, now my sister is asking me to join her for a few days in early January after she finishes running the Dopey Challenge. We will be staying at Wilderness Lodge so we can book FP+ 60 days out. That means that I can book FP+ for the January trip before I arrive in December and upgrade my 10 day park hopper to an annual pass. I will have already booked my FP+ reservations for our December trip but will not yet have gone when it is time to book FP+ for the January trip. With the 10 day hopper, that more than covers the number of days I will be there for December and January (with days left over), but since the tickets expire within 14 days of use, I'm not sure if the computer will allow me to book FP+ so far apart with a 10 day ticket that, if used with my December trip and not upgraded, would actually be expired by the time my January trip rolls around.
Does that make sense at all? I'm wondering if I am going to be able to book FP+ for my January trip with only the 10 day ticket attached to my account considering I will already have FP+ booked for December. Of course, once I upgrade to my annual pass, I know I will be able to book FP+, and if t. Anyone have experience with this specific situation?
