Question about The Wave

Does The Wave only have 2 tops and 4 tops?

I was playing around with online ADRs today and every time I put in a date for there it said we might be seated at separate tables. We will be traveling with 3 kids 6 and under and even having the CHANCE of two separate tables is enough to nix a restaurant.

I got that a lot last trip when I made ADR's for 6 (I think it's a standard warning) and no, we were never seated separately. At the Wave there are many large booths that can accomodate about 8 (that's where our 6 top sat several times). I would not be concerned, as they also have tables that could be pushed together.

It's a standard warning. With a party of five, three of whom are small children, it's very unlikely. The online system has been putting that warning on all types of reservations - even parties of one or two.

We were a party of 7 and were seated at one big round table right under the air condition freezing during our entire meal which only took 3 hours because of terrible service and because the chef didn't know how to cook meat medium rare. Had to send it back three times. I would never eat there again.

but the Wave is, hands down, our favorite restaurant. Beyond fabulous food and service. This was the only place I've ever sought out the manager to gush about our meal, truly wonderful. To the OP, they do have several large booths that will accomodate your party and also, possibly, keep the kids contained thru dinner!!

We've had dinner there twice. We also have three kids. Once, we were at a large round table for 6, and the second time, we were at a rounded booth (gosh--is there a word for those?) that fit all of us comfortably.

We've also received the warning about two tables at several places including Chef Mickey's and Les Chefs de France, and we have never been separated. I would not worry about it.

By the way, we really liked the Wave both times we were there. We'll have dinner there in July!

when we were there last dec. (and this is one of my favorite restaurants), we had 8 adults and 3 kids and they put 2 tables together!

I haven't been yet, but it's on my list for ADR's for November because of all the outstanding reviews and comments I've read....this poster obviously was unfortunate enough to wind up there on one of their very rare off nights.
