Question about the SeaRaycer boats...

Hey you all,
Is there anything to keep you from driving a rented Searaycer over to Tom Sawyer's island? I lloked at the satellite image and it looks like the canal that surrounds Tom Sawyer's island is connected to Seven Seas lagoon and Bay lake. Not that I'm planning on it, but surely there's some sort of barrier?
We're staying at the Contemporary next month. My daughter and I are looking forward to renting a Searaycer and toodling around the lake. From the satellite image it looks enticingly easy to drive over and wave at the folks waiting in line for the Haunted Mansion...

I am almost 1000% sure that there is no connection with seven seas lagoon/bay lake and the MK/tom sawyer island. Sorry. That would be cool though.

First, the canal from the lake is considered "back stage" and you would surely be stopped once you enter that area.

Then there appears two water gates and a bridge that would stop you from getting through.
