Question about the on demand stateroom movies

If a movie is already out on dvd/blu-ray will it then be on the stateroom on demand tvs? I will be going on a cruise in 2 weeks on the Dream and since the new Dumbo live action movie is out already to purchase, would it then be on the tv? How soon do the new dvd released movies get into the stateroom?

There's a pretty good chance it will be on there. It's probably still playing in the theater once or twice on the cruise as well.

I believe everything that had recently been released on DVD was on demand on our last cruise.

That's what we were told in 2016 too, but my then-17 year old found out his two favorite movies (Treasure Planet and Atlantis) were not on the list at all. They may be now, but if it's a rare one, don't count on it.
