Does anyone know if the Character Warehouse (I think that's what it's called)at the Belz Outlet Mall accepts Disney Dollars? We're def. making a stop there, and I was hoping the kids can use the Disney Dollars :)

If that is what the Disney-related one is called (I think there is a Warner Bros, and a Universal-related one there also) then they do accept Disney dollars (or did when I was there in March). I hope they still do- we are saving ours up, and that is always our first stop!

There are Disney outlets in Belz Mall #1 & Mall #2. They have different names, but both take Disney Dollars. I love these stores. It is rare that I do not find something to buy there. In Oct-Nov I got some great surprise trick-or-treat bags for 3 suvvies. My husband bought me a nice Micky watch. We bought some baby gifts, T-shirts, x-mas wreath, etc., etc., etc.......... And I bought it all with Disney Dollars........ ::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo

Ok, glad to hear they take the DD's :) I LOVED that store last time we went...DH and I spent $90 on what would have been close to $300 at the World!

We always make this the first and last stop of our trip. We look to see what's available, then go to the parks and buy what's not. We go back on our last day and get the rest of our souvenirs. It's so much fun! :cool1:

So the savings are worth the visit? Do they have a large selection of stuff?

I have been twice and I was like a kid in a candy shop both times.

I just got home from being in Orlando this weekend (on a business trip not a Disney trip) and took the time to go to the Disney outlets for the first time. Now I'm kicking myself for not going sooner. YES, its' worth a visit! They have TONS of stuff from the parks at 50% or less than normal prices. I spent WAY too much but rationalized by how much I saved. I bought lots of things I had seen in the parks on our last few visits but couldn't justify buying everything I wanted. When it's half price, it's easier to justify. ;) Most of the stuff was from 2004 so if you want new stuff then go to the parks but I was a bit disappointed to see SO many things we paid full price for at the outlet stores, ESPECIALLY all the Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween and Very Merry Christmas Party stuff from 2004.

Can someone tell me where this is, this is our first trip to WDW and we r going in 4 weeks and would love to stop there on the way in and way out. Thanks in advance!

Depends on from which way you'll be driving. If you take I-4 west from the Turnpike, I think it's the first exit (same exit as Universal) and it will be a left exit. Go to the first light (International Drive) and turn left again. I-Drive basically ends at the Belz outlet mall.

Is this outlet the best one to go to for Disney stuff? I understand there is another outlet too.

There's the Character Warehouse (Mall II) and Character Premiere (Mall I) both at the Belz Outlet mall. The one in Mall II was bigger but they had a lot of the same stuff.

Is this a close stop from the airport on the way to Lake Buena Vista? We are actually staying in Winter Garden. I thought about stopping on the way to the timeshare. We will also go to the Florida Mall one day, is it close to that? It sounds like this is close to Universal, or am I lost????

The Belz Outlets are just across I-4 from Universal. Whether they would be on your way from the airport depends on which way you go. If you take the Beeline to I-4, Belz would be on your way. If you take 417 instead, then the Belz Outlets would be out of your way.

The Belz Mall with the two stores is quite near Universal. It's close enough to the Florida Mall that I wouldn't hesitate to make the detour if I have my malls straight. Is that the one on Sand Lake?
