Question about the buses

I have family members who live about 2 hours from WDW, and they're thinking about meeting up with us on our down day to have dinner together. Since we're not renting a car, they'd be driving to WDW to join us. Would my aunt & uncle be able to drive to our resort, and then ride on the buses with us to another resort for dinner? Or would they need to drive themselves?

I hope that's not a silly question :goodvibes

Either way should work, athough driving from resort to resort might be a better option. For one, non-guests can park at resorts to visit or dine or whatever, but generally only for about three hours. If they're going to spend time at your resort, go with you to another resort, eat and then return, it likely will take more than three hours.

Moreto the point, however, is that with a very few exceptions trips between resorts using Disney transportation involve getting from the starting resort to a park or DTD, then transferring to a bus or other form of transport to get to the destination resort. The process needs to go in reverse to get back.

Like Jestocost said, it would be easier to go in their car to another resort if your entire party can fit in. Since you are a Disney resort guest, you can get a parking pass when checking in and then use it when parking your relatives' car at a resort.
