So the new monorail operating hours for now are:

Epcot - 9:00am-11:00pm
Resort monorail - 9:30am-11:30pm
Express monorail - 8:30am-midnight

I am staying at CR, so if I have ADRs at Poly or GF for 8am I cannot get the monorail there as I would have previously??

Nor can I get the monorail to TTC for EPCOT until 9:30am???

I am in the same boat :( BUT hoping it will be over by the time we arrive in Sept. I have heard others say to walk to MK then catch the boat to Poly (depending on the time if boats are running) or take a cab....

~Wow!!! This is just ridiculous & it's so inconvenient for monorail resort guests. I can't think of a single valid reason for starting the monorail at 9:00 AM.

~With that said, it's great that the monorail runs late so you don't have to take the ferry, boat or bus back. :goodvibes

Me, too! We're staying at BLT in September. I made a 7:30 'Ohana breakfast reservation on our Epcot day because it's convenient to hop on the monorail at CR to get to the Poly, and then walk over to the TTC to get the Epcot monorail. Aaahh, the best laid plans and all that :)

Hopefully the regular operating schedule will be in effect by then.

Isn't it 8:30am for the resort monorail?

Resort guests aren't going to be happy with a full monorail stopping at their resort with no room for them to get on it.

I found this on another site:

Magic Kingdom Resort Beam: 8:30 a.m. – 12:00 midnight
Magic Kingdom Express Beam: 9:30 a.m. – 11:30 p.m.
Epcot Beam: 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 p.m.

YES! I am so hoping they are done by then! I figured we would just suck it up and pay for a tax from BLT to Poly for breakfast if need be.....

They are working on the line. That is a pretty valid reason. People complain all the time that the monorail needs work. However, it does stink a lot for those guests staying at monorail resorts with early ADRs. The best way now to make those ADRs is to pay for a taxi.

Another option would be walk to MK,take the Ferry to TTC and walk to Poly from TTC.

But my "guess" is they will be running buses on a GF/Poly/CR/MK "loop" until the Monorail begins service.:)

Resort concierges have been known on occasion to pay for taxis if there is not timely bus or monorail transportation for a breakfast ADR. Can't hurt to ask.

I am not at all happy with this.

I originally booked to stay at Poly but then all of the construction started. Disney never ever informed me, I found out about it on here. So I changed to CR and now they inconvenience me yet again!!!

Does anyone know how long this schedule will be in place?

The travel agent site has it listed as:

Monorail
Monorail service will be adjusted on the Magic Kingdom Park and Epcot beams in order to accommodate the installation of a new state-of-the art train control system. As a result, monorail service will run from:

8:30 a.m.- midnight on the Magic Kingdom Resort beam
9:30 a.m.- 11:30 p.m. on the Magic Kingdom Express beam
9 a.m. -11 p.m. on the Epcot beam
Jun. 22, 2014 - TBD
(through full summer)

And people complain the work should be done at night. Now it's being done at night and people complain ;)

There will be buses to cover the missing hours.

Not much consolation for shelling out the big $ at a monorail resort. Disney owes those guests much more advanced notice or a significant discount to stay or transfer to another resort, in my opinion.

That is great to know! Awesome tip!

Ehhh....I really can't imagine 1 hour really makes that much of a difference. If they would start the running just an hr earlier; I think that would help a lot of ppl. as ppl could actually make it to the parks on time for rope drop. Not having the Epcot line up until park opening and the express monorail until after park opening seems like poor planning, not to mention the ridiculous late notice/announcement for those who are experiencing it now.

Poor planning seems to be what Disney excels at lately. Ask those guests that want to use the pool at WL from Sept-Nov. about planning:(

Looks like either an early bus or a cab might be the only way to make RD at either MK or EP. Don't know about the boats since I think they make a couple of stops along the way. Actually the buses do too, I think. Am I right?

So my family is staying off site and we have an 815am ADR at CP. How are we supposed to get there from the TTC without the monorail???

taxi is not going to help make rope drop at MK as taxi takes you to the TTC not MK unless something has changed.
