Question about taxi to airport

I was wondering if any of you have taken a taxi to the airport form Walt Disney. I am heading for my vacation in June, and will have a car transport to the hotel, but need a taxi back when I leave. I'm not technically staying in the Resort (Doubletree Hotel, I had a free room ), but about what is the average cost back to the airport? I am a huge budgeter and prefer to know what I'm getting myself into And any recommendations on which taxi company is best?

A cheaper option is the Mears shuttle that services the orlando area hotels and is a shared shuttle/bus service. One way back to the airport would cost you $18.00 plus tip.
