Question about Targe 75.00 BF purchase for 20% shopping pass

POR refused to do this for us last week (even asked a supervisor). I didn't realize that they would charge my credit card for the balance when I did online check in. :(

Q.
I have an existing package or hotel reservation and I have only paid my deposit. Will you automatically deduct the balance due payment from my credit card?
A.
No. We will not automatically charge your credit card to pay the balance due.

If you have a vacation package, you can pay off the balance online or call (407) 939-7675. Guests under 18 years of age must have parent or guardian permission to call. For your convenience, you are able to use the payment method stored in your online account.

If you have a room-only reservation, you will pay off your balance when you arrive at your Disney Resort hotel.

SO DH and I are splitting up and heading to 2 stores to make sure we get the cards, we are thinking of trying to buy 5K in gift cards.

We only have 1 coupon (emailed. ) If I print it twice. does anyone know if we can both use it, if we cannot get them all in 1 store?

Also are both the 25$ and the 50$ entertainment cards?

I got 2 coupons in store yesterday and they have unique barcodes. I doubt you could use reproductions.

Most banks would deny such a debit purchase run. Most Target Red Card Credit accounts have a lower limit than that. I, too, and trying to weasel about $5000 in gift cards to cover a future cruise.... but my limit is only like $1500 on the credit card. They will not increase limits via request, either. They only increase for those who carry large balances.

. My limit was. 2k I got it on bf. but I am okay putting the rest on an SW visa it is about 3.67 per point and a bonus 1k miles with $$ amt in dec. as long as I can use 2 payments it is cool with me. I assume I can use 2 types of payments .

Thanks Heather. I am not making it back there today but I'll try tomorrow and hopefully they will give it to me. If they don't, I won't worry too much. I'm almost done with Christmas shopping and am not really sure I'd use it.

Update on my situation: I stopped at Target today with my receipt from yesterday and talked to customer service. They said they threw out the coupons since "all that qualified should have gotten theirs". Thy called a manager and she signed my receipt and marked it 20% off for me. I will go back tomorrow and get some items.

Hmmmm.....Hmmmm.....Honestly I don't even remember what I checked into and what I didn't...sounds like I need to make some calls ahead of time and confirm what is and what is not possible (undo online check-in)?

We've never had this happen before but I'm wondering if our less than magical cast member was responsible for charging my credit card.

We had a room only and had only paid the deposit. I told her when I walked up that I had a giftcard to pay off the balance due. When I mentioned it again she said that our reservation was already paid and said the balance was on our credit card on file. Our check in experience this trip was awful including the CM deleting our Fastpass+ reservations because we only had one day tickets linked to our Magicbands. She took it upon herself to delete the 2nd day even though we had tickets for that day too but they weren't linked that she could see. It took an hour to fix that mess.

Woohoo!!! :cool1:

I'm wondering if they are using more contractors during these holidays. My SIL called to make a payment and get a few days extension to pay balance. She asked why she had so many kids in her room ..... Left her on hold for 30 minutes and came back to say - you're ok. Well DUH. That's why I don't call much and have people looking at the reservation!!

Uh oh...I posted the picture of mine up yesterday with the barcode. OOPS! Good thing the picture isn't clear!

Does anyone know what other coupons you can use? It says Storewide and category/discounts are excluded. I am not sure what that means.

I still am feeling ok about our chances... The exclusions say gift cards , which we all know is the way target cards are coded in their system; and then they bothered to add a second exclusions for iTunes cards. This exclusion specifically calls out an individual entertainment card they offer in store. Now if the coupon had an exclusion for Disney cards called out for an exception, or it would have been just as easy to make an exception for all entertainment cards; I would be worried based on the apparent new coding but I'm happy that they aren't scanning as GiftCards at chez out.... The fact they may be scanning as Disney OR entertainment is irrelevant to how the coupon was originally written. It all depends on how the bar code was created at corporate. Let's just hope the people who were calling H.O asking if they would work didnt alert their corporate office to tweak the algorithm in the barcode to deny Disney cards.
Looks like it won't be working for Disney GCs. I had a feeling that it wouldn't but there was a little part of me that was hoping my gut was wrong.

Argh. The 20% off coupon can't be used for Disney Giftcards afterall. :(
Thought I'd better post this here too since I KNOW everyone is waiting! Don't bother rushing out for gcs in the am. :( My hubby is a manager for target and although the coupon is not allowed to be used until tomorrow, it became active as of this afternoon. He tried scanning some merchandise, and it all rang up correctly with the 20% off, but the Disney GC's popped up as a red screen that said something to the effect of "No promotion offered on this item". Yep, the 20% will NOT work on Dis cards. There is not even a way for managers to override it as some people were hoping if it wouldn't work. Sorry guys.

Is the 20% off for one item, or for everything you buy in that shopping trip? I have been thinking one item, but this thread reads like it is for more.

It says right on the coupon- it's for total purchase- single transaction.

So, just making sure.. I could buy a television, some boots, a few toys, a couple of books and a chair with ottoman, and it would be 20% off all of that? I honestly don't need quite that much stuff, but
could use a discount on a few things. Thanks.1

Anyone gonna try today?
For Disney GCs? Not me. There have already been a couple of reports of failures on another thread. I have other purchases to make and I'll focus on them later this week. I have kids home from college until later this afternoon. I want to spend my time with them.
