What time does the Tambu Lounge open at the Polynesian? One website says 1pm another says 5pm. :confused3

The obvious "go-to" website says 5pm. He is usually right.

I'm a cocktail-imbiber so that seems a bit late in the afternoon for me. Hmmm. Or maybe I was at the pool and just bought there earlier. Hmmm. One drinks, and forgets, which may be the point. Oh well, memory doesn't serve me here. Sorry.

I'm pretty sure I was there around 4pm last trip (Feb 2007) and we had no problem getting drinks then. :confused3 It was a Monday afternoon.

yuummmmm Island sunset, there will be one or two of those with my name on them come the fall.

Tambu Lounge is open from 1pm to midnight per the Polynesian newsletter.

Tambu Lounge has always been one of those lounges that is open all afternoon, from my experience. I've gotten drinks there as early as 2-3pm.

Unless they've changed in the past few months, I think the 5pm info is incorrect.

I've seen Tambu open around 1 - 2pm or so for drinks and snacks. The live entertainment usually doesn't happen until around 5pm to help entertain the folks waiting to get in to 'Ohana.

Oh, thank God they're open at 1pm. I was in such a snafu with my wedding plans when I learned 'Ohana isn't open for lunch. :rotfl:

Our wedding ceremony is at 12:00 noon and I needed somewhere for 14 of us to go while we wait for our 5:00 'Ohana reservation. Ceremony and cake cutting is about an hour, plus another hour or so for pictures and then we'll be starving. :rotfl:

I was hoping to have us hang out at the Tambu Lounge for 2 hours or so. :thumbsup2

Oh the live music is Great -- It is hard to get a seat to enjoy - I guess just keep looking out for someone leaving - It is peaceful --- Great "wings" and "drinks"
We always went in Pm then on to the Park for night .:lovestruc

Appetizers aren't served until later in the day...or at least that's what I was told when I asked a couple years ago.

But Kona is open until 2:30 and is excellent. Perhaps you could go there for appetizers and drinks.

Thanks so much for the advice, everyone! I really hope this works out for us! :goodvibes

I can't wait to go to the Polynesian! :woohoo:
