Do the Yellowstone and "King Kam...." suites have actual functioning kitchens? I know there are dining rooms and bars, but I would like to know if I'd be able to prepare meals there as well. Thanks!

we stayed in Yosemite, not Yellowstone, but for the life of me, i can't remember.....we didn't cook there, but did use the fridge, cabinets and sink...
I can't remember if there's an oven or not.....
i'm trying to visualize the kitchen but without success....you can see through to the living room from the sink in the kitchen but i can't remember what else was in there...

maybe a microwave and toaster...

we mostly ate in the concierge lounge and ordered from room service when we were there....

by the way, both yellowstone adn yosemite are one bedroom suites...
in addition to yosemite, we had a regular concierge room (connecting to our suite) for the kids...

if you want to be able to cook at the WL, why not stay in the villas there?...
the one and two bedroom villas have a full kitchen (with oven and stove top, plus fridge, dishwasher, sink, as well as pots, pans, dishes etc.)

disneyholic family,

We are considered a 2 bedroom villa at VWL, but I don't think they're open to book (unless you're DVC) until 7 mos. out and I would be afraid we wouldn't be able to get one.

If the Yellowstone is a one bedroom, does it only sleep 4? We will be 4 adults a 5 year old and a 3 year old. There is the outside chance that one more adult may join. Thanks!

we stayed in the yosemite, but i think the only difference between the two is an extra office type room in the yellowstone...

even though the kids could have stayed with us, we took an additional regular room (concierge room since the suite is on the concierge floor) for the kids....
since i didn't want the kids sleeping on the sofabed in the living room....it's not comfortable for an extended stay and it's crowded that way...
also, in the yosemite there was one full bathroom and one half bath (that is a toilet and sink)...

i prefer having two full baths, thus the need for an extra room...

are you sure you can't book the villas until 7 months out?...i thought DVC owners have to book 11 months out, so after that aren't they available for booking?..
the villas are much cheaper and have much more room than the suites..

there are pictures of yellowstone in an old post here somewhere...
maybe in the thread on the WL or in the concierge thread...check there to see what the suite looks like...

You can rent points from a DVC member (which is most likely much cheaper than paying cash). Depending on when you're going, you might luck out and be able to rent from a VWL owner who can book your reservation 11 mos out.

P.S. In addition to the full kitchen, the villas (1br and 2br, anyway) come with a washer and dryer in the unit.
