Question about standard room at RPR

Hi,

We will be staying at the Royal Pacific for the first time 11/5-11/10.

Can someone please tell me a standard room/tower with a nice view. We really don't want a highway view.

My young son will be with us so we would also like a room close to the pool if possible.

A pool view or park view would be fine - whatever is available with a standard room - Just not the parking lot.

I think you can get a parking lot or highway view in all three towers. If you want to make sure you don't get a bad view, reserve a pool view room in any of the towers.

We just got back and had a wonderful time. We had a waterview room that overlooked the pool and we could see IOA. We were in room 3518. Tower 3, floor 5. It was fun to get up and watch the rides get "warmed up" in the morning. It was also close to the elevator without it being too noisy. The elevator dropped us down right in front of the pool!

Was your room considered a standand room? Did it have 2 beds? Please let me know If it does I am all over reserving it. Also was it pet free (bad allergies).

You want tower 3. I was there last weekend in room 2634 which was as far away from the pool as you can get. Okay, maybe 2734 was a bit farther.

Guests with pets are put in Tower 2. I asked for Tower 3 when I was checking in but no rooms were available. I wish I had known to ask ahead of time. Tower 3 is near the banquet rooms, the water taxi, the shuttle bus, Emeril's Tchoup Chop restaurant and the pool. The only advantange I could see with Tower 2 was the laundry and the luau.

I can't tell you which rooms in Tower 3 have a better view, but for me, a room in Tower 3 with a bad view is 100 times better than any Tower 2 room.

i found my map

one time at rph i walked around and made a map of some floors and room numbers at the 3 towers at rph. i had printed out the notes on the room thread from the dis boards to guide me. i based my start on what i read on the dis.



i forget who asked about what so i'll throw out what i think was needed earlier.

tower 1: closest walk to the park. has views of the park

tower 2: pets on floors 1 & 2

tower 3: view of I-4, and waterway

rooms ending with 33-31-29-27 are close to the stairs but far from the elevator.

rooms ending with 00 - closest to the elevator

tower I: exit from elevator hallway to the right side: these rooms from 1701-1717 the odd number are on the right side. they have views of the entrance, city walk and garage.

the other side of this main leg rooms 1702-16 (even #'s) all have pool views.


Beyond 1716 hallway splits to left leg with rooms 1718-1732 still have pool views. right side of this leg 1719-33, odd numbers have standard good view of park.
Back at split, if you turn right, 1741-55, have views of front entrance and parking garage.
rooms 1740-54 on left side of right leg have park view/ standard rooms.

room 1729 should be a 2Qstandard on the right side of the left leg.

is this the type of stuff the poster wanted?

We had Building 1 literally SIX rooms down the hallway from the Lobby of the resort! We had a semi-obstructed view of the pool, but perfect location to get to the Lobby, parking lot, down to eat, and the pool!

This is not directed to the quoted poster, just borrowing your post

Just a reminder that requests are just that - requests. Loews doesn't guarantee requested rooms, so don't be upset at check-in if you don't get any of your requests. They try to honor requests, but there are only a certain amount of park view rooms that are also standard garden view rooms, so lots of people request them.

When we used to stay at the Royal Pacific all the time, we would always request a park view room. We actually got one about 50% of the time. Other times we got rooms overlooking the front entrance. We always did get the tower we requested.

One time we had requested a park view, but when we checked in, there was not one available. But we did get a message early that morning saying one had opened up and to call the front desk by xam if we wanted it.

They told us to leave our luggage in the front of the room and they would move it for us. We went to the parks and when we got back, our keys were reprogrammed to the new room and our luggage was there waiting for us. And we had a wonderful view of Hulk and IOA.

So, if there is not one available when you check in, and if it wouldn't be a big deal to you, make sure you let the front desk know you would be willing to move if one opened up the next day.
