Question about spending the 500 dollars on Visa Disney card.

I am sure this question has been asked before and if it has can you point me in the right direction. We have just been approved for a Visa Disney card and if we spend 500 bucks in 3 months we can get a 200 gift card. We are going to be spending a lot of money within the park anyway between food and souvenirs so we were thinking about loading a Disney gift card with 500 dollars with the Visa credit card. Would this be considered the 500 dollars we have to spend on the Visa card in order to get our 200 free gift card? Not sure if this is allowed or is this a loophole we can do. Thanks.

You can but I would suggest checking out the Disney gift Card Deals thread to find out ways to make the most of the $500 that you spend You could probably get around $600 worth of gift cards for $500.

I don't think the purchases are restricted. Agree with PP about checking into getting discounts on your gift cards. We've purchased gift cards at Sam's Club and Target to get a discount. That's the simplest way, but there are other tips you can get on the other thread.

I used mine to pay off the balance of my trip. I then used the $200 for things when we went to Disney.

I just did this BUT I got $200 Statement credit, Are you getting a gift card or a statement credit? Did you have to pay a $49 annual fee? Thanks

I didn't sign up for the credit card you have to pay for. I got the free one. I didn't get a statement credit. After I paid the bill they sent me a $200 Disney gift card. So I guess your $200 is in the form of a statement credit.

We got a statement in the mail saying that we were pre approved for a Disney Visa card and if we spent 500 bucks within 3 months that we would get a 200 Disney gift card. I did not see anything about a statement credit so I would assume it is the gift card like it stated. I guess we will see.
