I rode Space Mountain a very long time ago. Does the ride sit two people side by side, or is there room for only one? If it's only one, I don't think my DD7 will ride? Can a child sit with a parent?

At WDW is is one in a row and children cannot sit "with" a parent. My DD's first ride she wrapped her feet around the lap bar and asked me to lean forward and hold on to her, too. Not too comfortable a ride for me, but she felt less "alone" that way. Of course, after one time through, she had both hands up the whole way. ;)

DisneyLand's SM is the two across seating you might see in the planning videos.

Its one per row but it is a pretty tame ride. I would think she would be ok in a seat by herself.

Here's a picture of WDW Space Mountain .DS Erich was about 5 the first time he rode.I did the same thing as DemonLlama I sat behind him and held onto his shoulder so he didn't feel so alone. He loved it!

Thanks, but I bet she won't do it. Last year she rode Spaceship Earth and didn't like it. How much tamer can you get? I guess we'll get in line and see what happens.
