Question about Sleeping Beauty's Castle..

Where is the walk through? I missed it last time I went.

We got to go last year right after it opened and the lines were almost non-existant in the early mornings. I don't think a lot of people were aware it was open at first. Took a handful of pics that turned out ok if you would like to see. Really love how they kept it a lot like the original and not the tacky 70-80's version.

Forgot to mention, the entrance is on the backside of the castle, on the left hand side.

SacSarah: 1 tip so you can plan accordingly. The walk-through closes about 2 hours before the fireworks show and stays closed until about a half hour after it. They cannot allow anyone in the castle once they start loading in the pyrotechnics.

The new updates are amazing and I have to say, from the pictures I've seen of the old walkthrough, the new one beats it easily.

Yay, cousin-in-law Be sure and try the single rider line for Toy Story, it opened about 11 last time I was stalking it. The lines are shorter the sooner it opens. We really liked the castle walk through-it's very pretty and well done. Say hi to the kitty for me at whitewater snacks (and give her a piece of jerky lol)

I was also there recently, and took some pictures of the Sleeping Beauty Castle walkthrough.

Next to the entrance is a fountain with Princess Aurora and Prince Phillip




The entrance to the walkthrough is on the right side, as you face the castle in Fantasyland, next to the path to Frontierland, and across from the new Bibbity Bobbity Boutique.




As you enter, you see that this is like a giant beautifully illustrated storybook, and you are in the story, walking from scene to scene.




The first scene you come to is of the king and queen overlooking the village's spindles burning. All these scenes are animated, so here you see the fire burning and smoke rising from the fire.

After a few scenes you walk up the stairs in the castle.

While Sleeping Beauty is under the spell, the castle is guarded by goons. You can see them when you look through the small windows behind the doors.

Careful when you look through the window. You might see who's behind those footsteps you hear pacing back and forth guarding the door.

Whew! Going back down ...

Still not quite out of the woods. Need to make it past Malificent!

These scenes are worth pausing to take in all of the effects.

Even the ending is enchanted. You need to watch Aurora's dress before you leave the castle.

This is another upgrade to the castle. For the guests who cannot walk up and down the stairs, there is another door on the left side of the castle as you face it from Fantasyland.
