Question about shipboard credit....

I was wondering....if you pay in advance on your shipboard credit and then end up not using it all do they refund it back? I am assuming they put it back on your charge if that is how you paid?

I think that you can only pay in advance in the form of cash (travelers check, DD, etc.) I don't think you can do an advance on your credit card. They just take your # and when you reach a certain amount (400?) they charge your card and then it builds up again.

on the DCL website - the place where you can order flowers you can also order shipboard credits....I would definitely think you could pay with a credit card for those.....how could you pay cash ahead of time?

Don't put down more than you think you can spend?

In that case, I think they would give you cash or mail you a check.

I wonder if a lot of people do that? I can see someone doing it as a gift but I wouldn't do it for myself in advance.
