we will be spending a day in seaworld in September and this restaurant sounds fun. i have one important question though. how is the lighting? my DH is legally blind and dark restaurants just aren't good for him. at least with decent lighting he can see where the plate is.

if it's very dark, we'll have to go elsewhere.:confused3

Hi there,

There was another question posted yesterday about SUG. I put two pics on that thread from the inside of the restaurant. The pics are terrible, but it might just give you an idea of the lighting. It is dim, but not too dark, IMO. The thing to watch for are a couple of steps on the different levels. I would link to that post, but I don't know how :rotfl:

its not "black" dark but it does have "dim" lighting...kinda like coral reef if youve ever been

my FIL is "near blind" & he was fine, we just helped him by the stairs

We ate at Sharks on Thursday at noon, we were able to walk right in with no waiting and got a table right next to the aquarium. And, yes it is very dark.
The food was good, I had the grilled salmon, needed to be cooked little longer for my taste, but over all was very good. Service was outstanding, our waiter even took our pic for us. He was very nice to our kids.
lunch was $85 for all four of us including tip. Kinda pricey but we ate cheap the rest of the day.
