Can someone please tell me what early September weather is like at WDW? It terrifies me to think about booking a trip at that time of year but it seems like such a good deal. Is the weather that bad??? Past early September visitors, tell me what it was like please. :)

I have gone to WDW in Feb., in Dec. and mid-September. September was my favourite weather wise. In September the weather was really nice, hot, but really nice.It was the kind of heat that was comfortable for most of the morning and evenings. However in the afternoon, it got too hot to walk around the parks. So we would go the the parks early and head back to the resort after lunch for pool and/or nap time. We would heat back to the parks around 4:00PM and spend our evenings there. It was great. Plus, the parks have tons of air conditioned rides and we scheduled all our afternoon meal in air conditioned places. It was perfect!
We got lucky because only once did it rain in the evening. And even that evening the rain was really nice and warm. We went out and had fun anyway. The rest of the trip was blue skies and sunshine.
I personally like that kind of weather, but if you really can stand the heat, then maybe September is not for you. But personally I found it bearable. Plus I loved September because of MNSSHP. The kids had the time of their lives and it was our favourite trip yet.:thumbsup2
Oh and I forgot to mention low crowds and great prices! It is WDW, even in the crummiest weather, this place is fun!

September is our month of choice. I would count on a 100% chance of rain at some point during your trip. Rain at Disney is fantastic! The skies open up in the late afternoon, it pours and everyone leaves! You, who have come prepared with ponchos and quick drying shoes, head for a ride. When you come out of the ride the sun is shining and you enjoy the empty park for the rest of the afternoon. Highly recommend it!

Really? wow, thanks guys. That was a big help. We went in January and got lucky that it didn't rain once. We carried our ponchos and umbrellas with us everyday though just incase, so yes, we would definitely be prepared for rain. LOL

I live in Florida and am an annual passholder. My favorite time of the year to go to Disney is after Labor Day and before Thanksgiving. September is still a little warm and yeah, there could be a hurricane, but you know days before if there is one. October and early November are my favorite months to go to the parks. October has the fall decorations and after Halloween and into November the Christmas decorations come up. :)

We usually go in October, and have never even come close to bad weather. It's usually just right temperature-wise, and very low crowds. It' been pretty rare for hurricanes to hit Orlando.
