question about scooter rental

Ok got a question. We will be there from 12/20-12/27. we will need the scooters on the 27th to go to epcot how do we get the scooters back to the company we rented them from since we will be checking out the 27th? We havent picked which company to go with yet.

the company will deliver it and pick it up. Most of the companies leave them with bell services so they are there prior to your arrival and then you will return it to bell services when you depart and the company will pick the ecv up at their convenience. To the best of MY knowledge, RANDY'S is the only rental company that makes you be there for delivery, but i believe you can still leave the unit with bell services for pick up. It's really an easy process to return one, don't be intimidated!!

If you have not looked at the disABILITIES FAQs thread yet, post 2 of that thread is about wheelchair/ECV/mobility equipment rental. You can find the thread at the top of this board or follow the link in my signature

but if you are staying on Disney resort property you will have to return the scooter to your Disney resort on your check-out day. You can't get it picked up from Epcot.

If you are outside of Disney Property then it can get more complicated. You could be required to even return the scooter yourself to the mobility company in some cases. Some non-Disney resorts have the same privileges as the Disney resorts, but that's resort specific and you would have to ask.

Depending on your situation you may be better off to rent a Disney scooter at the park on your last day.

You might consider making a reservation soon, as you are traveling at a very busy time and there is a potential your company of choice may not have an ECV available.

You know if I were you I'd call a couple of scooter rental places. I rented from Apple a couple of times (and a few others) but I was able to pick it up at one place and drop it off at another. They might even be able to schedule a pick up/meet time outside of EPCOT if you don't want to go all the way back to the hotel.

we wont be leaving epcot until very late. closing time actually so i think our best bet is to go back to resort.
