question about room upgrades

I'll be staying at the Hard Rock & at the Polynesion this June. My travel agent sugested I ask if there are any upgrades available at check in. Has anyone ever tried this? Do they normaly charge you for upgrades and is it at a discounted rate?

Have you signed up for Loew's First? If they charge for an upgrade they will tell you how much and give you the option. I haven't had good luck with upgrades at HRH. At Poly you fax your request 4 days prior to arrival att. room assignment. I would ask for the pool side of Hawaii on the lagoon end.
