I am wondering if in order to make FP+ reservations 60 days out, if it is necessary for everyone on a particular resort (room only) reservation to have a linked ticket?

I am bringing my mom and my daughter to WDW, but only myself and my daughter will be buying and using park tickets (separately).

Yes. Answers to FP FAQs like yours can be found in the green link in my signature.

Nope.

Mesaboy, I think you misunderstood the question (or maybe I'm not understanding something about FP+). The OP has a room only reservation with 3 people in the room, but only 2 people want to go to the parks. The third person doesn't need a ticket that she's not going to use in order for the other 2 to make FP+ reservations ahead of time, does she?

It's not necessary for everyone on a particular resort reservation to have a linked ticket. But you can only make FP+ in advance for those people on the reservation who *do* have linked tickets.

If your mom isn't going to the parks, she obviously won't need FP+.

Ah, you are right. :thumbsup2
