Hello
We will be having two 2-bedroom in use at SSR for our stay. Is it possible for us to be able to have our "room keys" "linked" so that we can open either of our doors to get into them both?

Thanks in advance for your help to this question.

I doubt it is possible, but you can ask at the front desk. Since they are two separate reservations, chances are the computers will not allow it. However, the keys to a two bedroom lockoff opens both the one bedroom door and the studio door, but I would assume that is because they are a single two bedroom reservation.

It just depends if there is a way for the front desk to override the keying codes. Also, you would probably all need to check-in at the same time to make the request.

I stayed at POFQ one time with friends, we had 2 rooms. They were able to program our keys to get into both rooms.

Thats interesting because we have had 2 rooms in the past and they told us they could not program the keys for both rooms. This was on cash not points, but i don't think it would make a difference. These rooms only had 2 people in each room that held 4 people so I than I asked couldn't they just add the other 2 to the opposite room, they said yes but they would still have 2 seperate keys. Possibly a CM that didn't know what they were doing.

I don't know about 2 separate 2-bds. I'm pretty sure it CAN be done, but it might be more problematic. You'd have to get a CM who is either willing or knows how to do it. If you really want it, ask for a manager or supervisor before you give up.

I believe they can program keys to multiple rooms but it's not something they do very often. What they can do is add an additional person to each room and generate a key. A problem if using the DDP but workable otherwise. I'd ask on arrival, I doubt MS will have much input in this area.

We've done this before with a 2-br and a studio. We just asked for a blank key for the 2-br (with no name, no charging privileges, etc...) so those in the studio could have access to the full kitchen...
