question about room requests

Hi,

We are now booked for a garden view room with free dining at the beach club for December of this year. We want to be sure to get a room with the 2 queens and a day bed and not one with a king bed. Is that something you need to request or is that something that happens on check in? I ask as there was no way to stipulate this when reserving the room. I am planning to call to request a high floor and full balcony and just was not sure if i should request the bed set up as well.

Thanks for any info.

Also if anyone has any advice on when I should call to add the requests that would be great. Dont know if I should do it now or wait until we get closer to the trip.

Thanks again.

There is no reason to wait. There is every reason not to wait too long. Rooms are assigned a few days before check-in. If you know that you don't want a king bed room then request it by phone now, along with your other requests, and be done with it.

I need the same thing for our trip to the BC at the end of May. If you haven't already, call and add those requests in order of importance to your reservation. we have 4 in our party, so I just requested room with daybed and full balcony. Then when I checking in online at the 60 day mark I requested a room close to elevator and full balcony. Also, on touring plans I set up a request for them to fax over a room request 5 days prior to check in that basically reiterates all of the above. I noted that the need for the daybed is b/c I have a 14 year son that can not share a bed with his mom or his aunt so hopefully that helps. If all else fails I plan of asking when we arrive if the room we were assigned meets these needs and if not can they find one that does. Good luck!

Rooms with king beds and a daybed only sleep three (plus an infant) so if you have more than that in your party you won't be put in a King room anyway. If you have 5 in your party you may get a room with only two queens and then a rollaway bed instead of a room with a daybed. It never hurts to call and have the request put on your reservation. You can also stop at the desk when you get there to double check the room and reiterate the request, even if you have gotten the room available text.
