Question about room keys

I heard you can charge things on them in the parks. (and that there is a maximum) Do they run the charges through every night so you start w/ a new amount daily or do they just keep it a running total till 1)it maxs out and then run it through 2)you check out and then they run it through--providing you didnt max it out during your stay?

No they don't run them through until you hit the limit, you then have to go to Guest Services and either pay in cash or have them charge your credit card.

We just did this and hit our limit on day 8 of a 9 day stay. They charged our credit card when we hit the limit and then we were able to start charging again.

I think it's posted to your card at the end of your stay or when you hit the max. Unless I hit the max I have one charge on my credit card bill when we get home.

They do not run the charges through every night. They hit your credit card when you reach the limit for that resort designation. For the Value resorts you are allowed $500.00, the Moderates are $1,000.00 and Deluxes are $1,500.00. You start over again once they run the charge through. You can get a listing of what is on your room charge at any time from the front desk. You will also get a complete listing when you check out. If you use express check out (most people do) they will leave the final bill in an envelope on your door early on your last day.

Thanks everyone!!! I guess that means I will take my cc w/ me in the parks too--just in case I hit my max w/out knowing!!! THat was my big fear and was hoping they charged every night! But this will work too!!!

You don't need to take your credit card with you. When (and if ) you hit the maximum for your resort level the front desk will pass through the charge. You don't have to do anything. If you are concerned about getting close just ask for a statement from the front desk. You can ask them to process a payment through your credit card right there.
