Am I right in thinking that you can specify a limit on room key charging. Also can you pay the charges of at any time or do you have to wait til the end of the holiday? Can you pay the charges with dollars or do you have to use visa? Finally, I believe they are accepted at all resorts, parks, water parks, DTD and PI, is this true? Thankyou for your help. I'm just beginning to dance. :cheer2: :cheer2:  :cheer2: :cheer2:

You can have cash applied to your account. Just be sure to do it at least the evening before your departure, they run the automatic credit card charges overnight before check-out.

You can use the room key almost anywhere, except where they only use a cash box, like at ice cream carts. Even those are starting to get electronic card readers.

I was told you can put a limit on the card. They will start charging the bill to your credit card at 1500 intervals. I paid off the card 2 nights before check out with cash.

Do you need to have your room card with charging privilages?

I plan on paying off the rest of my resort bill before I check in. Do I still need to put a Credit Card on File, if it's all paid off? I won't be charging anything to the room, I'll be paying cash for everything, with the exception of the remaining balance for the room.

Thanks!

Can you do that? Are you saying your reservation is not paid off yet?

Maybe I missed something or not reading right.

If you have a room only reservation the balance is due at checkin.

You can pay the balance with a credit card and leave that card on file for express checkout.
(Express checkout is where they leave a detail receipt on your door by 7-8 am and you do not need to go to the desk to check out. This can only be done if you left a credit card on file for whatever charges towards your room. phone calls is usually all I have show up.)

You do not have to have any room keys with charging ability.

You can at any time durning your stay request a invioce of the charges made so far and pay all or part of it with cash/travelers checks.

You can make just your key with charging abaility and not anyone elses.

The room keys now have everyones own name on them. They used to come all in the name the reservation was made in.

Any other questions please ask.
I hope this helps,
Lori

Thanks for the Clarifications!

I do plan on paying off the remainder BEFORE I check in like a few days before over the phone.

So if that's the case could I just put my debit card on file just for phone calls? I mean I got my cell phone w/ free long dis. so it shouldn't be a problem.

The amount of credit WDW will extend you for room key charges depends on which of their resorts you're staying at. If you exceed the limit for your resort, they'll automatically charge your credit card at that time.
