We're planning on staying at one of the value resorts (most-likely POP) and would rather not rent a car and just use the free buses instead. However, we have a 3 year old. Is that ok? Obviously, they're not going to have carseats on the buses. What do people do? Keep small children on their laps?

Thanks for info. :)

You're right about the buses, no car seats. There must be some law because think about it, they don't even have seat belts on school buses which freaks me out! They are roomy seats, the molded fiberglass type, really, all things concidered pretty comfy. We always had DD's on ourlaps with us when they were small, I still see parents doing that. They do make you fold up your strollers.

You're right - no carseats. You can keep them on your lap, or they can sit on the seat next to you (that's if it's not too crowded, and you keep a protective watch over them!).

Parents just hold their kids in their laps.

That is what I did with my DS who was 9 months old last year & will be 21 months for this trip.

You do have to fold up your stroller.

Also it is better for small children to sit on their parents' lap as it frees up another seat on the bus. And those seats are a precious comodity at the end of the night! :rotfl2:

Seriously, just hold you child in your lap. It is what everyone with kids do.
