Question about Resort Check-In

Hi all. I like to do the online check-in 10 days before (yaddy yaddy). If we don't want to tie our room key (on a room only ressie) to a credit card, do the other members of the party (there will be 4 adults) have to bring an ID or be with me when I check in to our room? 2 of the adults will be coming separately from us- can I check all of us in at the counter, get the keys, etc? OR do half of us check in, and the other half check in when they get there? That doesn't make a lot of sense, but I just want to make sure!!

Uh oh, I'm thinking about booking a package with tickets and dining... will they have to be there, if we did that, to check in or could I also check in for all of us (I'd be paying for it).
