Question about reservations

I need some help about how to make a reservation, im from mexico and im planning a trip for aug 13 to aug 20 so if I want to make reservations i should make a phone call to the hotel i want? and also when i should make my payment? do I need to pay to reserv? or i will need to make the hole payment or just a part? i will have to pay when i reserv or some weeks before trip? please need some help, I know you all are experts on this, tnks for your tips

You might want to start here: Central Reservations Office (CRO) can handle all your resort and dining reservations. CRO can be reached at 407-W-DISNEY (407-934-7639). I believe, but I could be wrong, that when you make a reservation a deposit equal to one night's stay is required. I think the entire package has to be paid 45 days in advance. The WDW website may have all this info but it is running really slow right now....

When you make a reservation a deposit of one nights stay is needed if you are making a room only reservation - no tickets, no dining plan, just a room. The remainder of the bill is due when you check in, although you can pay it off at any time.
If you make a package reservation, room, tickets, possibly meals, then a deposit of $200 is due when you make the reservation and the balance must be paid 45 days in advance.

One other thing to add. If you purchase a PACKAGE through Disney that INCLUDES airfare, you have to pay $200 plus the full price of the airfare as the deposit. If you book the airfare separately, on your own, you only have to pay the $200 deposit for the package.
