Question about reservation/availibility

We currently have ressies for BCV for two nights and WLV for five. We would really like to combine the ressie in to one week at BCV. Online, the Disney website indicates availaibility, but the CM will not book the room. She sais "It is available for cash, not booking DVC."

If it is available why can't we have it with our points? It is our home resort. This is for a trip in August, and I realize it is soon, but again, if there is an available room, why are we not in it?

We are on the wait list...What do you think our chances are?

There are several pools of rooms. These include points rooms, rooms gotten with points given up for exchanges (DCL, DC, CC), rooms owned still by Disney and breakage inventory. The only ones available both on points and cash MIGHT be the breakage inventory. The others are totally separate and one group does not have the rights to another pool. It happens all the time where points rooms are not available but cash rooms are, sometimes even through MS with the member discount.

Not shady at all, it happens all the time. Slim chance at this point to get all the nights but you should keep trying. You know they redo the wait list at 30 days out and it is abolished at 7 days out. To play the devil's advocate, how are you going to feel if you see a member who has those nights for rent at say BCV.

I will keep trying, and hoping. If those two bedrooms that are in the "cash" pool go unbooked, will they give them to the DVC'ers? That would seem to be fair. To let them sit unused....

Thanks, I called back and they said I am on the list until seven days prior ro arrival.
