Question about renting points

This may or may not happen but should I need to rent a few points for a trip can the points be transferred from one member to another. How would one go about doing so? Would it be advisable to send the payment and then the renting member could transfer the points into my account? Would I then be restricted to the terms of those points, ie. banked, borrowed, use year expiration? Thanks!!!!!!!

You can do a transfer of points. Only current points can be transfered and thus you cannot transfer points that have been banked or borrowed. The points you receive retain their original use year and thus must be used by the end of that year unless banked -- the recipient of transfered points can bank them. How payment is arranged is whatever the buyer and seller agree to. Your suggested method is an obvious way to do it.

How do you go about purchasing someones ressies? What method or steps do you take or what questions should you ask before committing-if you are the buyer?


The ressies that Im looking to buy says it is not transferrable.

Cash reservations made thru Disney are NOT transferrable. If you are considering a reservation made by someone other than a DVC member, you may be disappointed at check in since your name won't likely be on the reservation.

Reservations made at a DVC resort by a DVC member are transferrable, since the member can have your name placed on the reservation and send you the printed confirmation (with your name on the reservation).
