question about renting points

My friends and I are looking to rent a grand villa at OKW next June. We would need 510 points. Do you think it is likely we will be able to rent that many points from one person? Also, is it possible to rent from 2 different people if we have to? My last question is about the dining plan. We would like to add that on but if we have to rent from 2 different people, would that be possible. My guess is it would be treated as 2 separate reservations . Thanks in advance for any help. I'm so confused!

It would most likely be treated as two seperate ressies, but you could add the dining plan to both. Ideally, it would be best to rent from one person...it would eliminate the possibility of having to check-out and check-in for the 2nd ressie. Start looking for your owner to rent from NOW. I think availability may be more of a problem with your ressie than finding a single owner to rent from. Good luck to you.

Do you mean June 2007? In that case you are fine, but really should start lining up owners now so you are ready to jump. If you mean June 2006, I think the chances of a GV being available are zero. As a matter fo fact, I tried making ressies for various 5 day combos of nights all throughout june and actually couldn't come up with much. June 2006 is almost sold out in all room categories.

A Home Resort Owner would have an 11 month advantage, so they could start booking in July of 2006 for your June 2007 vacation.

To maximize your success with a single Owner, I would suggest you advertise now on the R/T board, before Owners may have other point commitments.

Most Owner's prefer larger transactions, it takes about the same amount of work for 3 nights in a studio or a week in a GV, so in my book, at least, fewer transactions is better for my time!

However, some posters are quick to point out any perceived 'error' you may make (or be accused of posting), so to prevent all the helpful, "it is too early to book your ressie', I would suggest that you add something like.

"Starting early as we would prefer to rent from one Owner" or the like in the body of your post!

If you end up renting from two different owners, just ask both to make sure that the two reservations are linked. Then it will appear as one continuous reservation to the resort and MS. Should not be a problem adding the Dining Plan provided it is still available in 2007 and you follow all the rules (all occupants in the unit must purchase for the entire length of the stay).
