Question about recent add-on. Waiting for call back from guide.

And for what it's worth, we have a Sept UY and only received 2009 pts--plus an equal amount developer points for SSR.

That's weird.. our UY is August, and we received 08 and 09 points, just adding on a few weeks ago.

For BLT or AKV? I think the other poster was referring to getting SSR DP's with a BLT add on (I could be wrong though) but no 2008 points.
 
Thanks for all your replies about this question. I am really disappointed not only in our guide but in the fact that I won't be able to take my family to BLT in February as I was planning on. But ya know, life goes on and maybe it happened for a reason. I just have to tell myself that.:)

I'd love to know who your guide is...we had a similar situation when we went to add on in Dec. He told us OVER and OVER and OVER again that if we added on at AKV (we owned there already) we would receive AKV developer points. BLT add on would get us SSR developer points. We were very skeptical, having a very good understanding of DVC, so we asked another guide at a member function. Our guide was VERY wrong as we suspected!!!! We called and asked for a different guide and now we are VERY happy with him. He is/was right on top of everything!

That is so frustrating! I mean, I don't know what they make off every purchase but this is their job and they should KNOW what they are talking about! At this point I either feel like he flat out lied to us and then tried to put it back on us when we caught him, or he was clueless and tried to put it back on us when he realised he was wrong. Either way, he lost a customer and we are ones that will add on several more times before we are done.

As I understand it they don't make a 'commission' per purchase but rather get performance bonuses taking into account the amount they sell. It stands to reason that comments in their profiles would also be taken into consideration come review time. Since you've already spoken with member satisfaction, that should be is in his file. What is not in there, is proof that he either blatantly lied to you or in fact does not know his products and so is misleading the buyers. Which is sad as there are so many excellent guides out there and he should not at their level in the bonus pool.
 
Kristine, do you know if they are all "out" of Feb UY points? That way you could have 2009 and 2010 points for your Feb trip? My brain still hasn't gotten how to talk about UY perfectly (thankfully the member site spells out what dates we will be able to do what) so I'm not sure if you'd bank the '09 or borrow from the '10, but maybe that would turn it around for you? (then again getting a UY for just this one trip might not help you)
