Has anyone ever received a pin code when they already had a trip booked? I keep praying for one of those codes, but wonder if Disney would send me one, knowing I have already booked a room for January, 2010. Anyone who has ever received a Pin Code ever get it when you had a trip booked already? Thanks!

Yes and the pin I received was actually not as good a price as the AP rate we already had. It was for 64/night and the AP was 54/night at a value. We ended up with the Disney Visa free dining since the difference in price was only 28/night in cost per night and dining would be more than that and also another person ended up in the room so for the price we all had free dining.

Yes, we booked the 4/3 deal. Then I received a pin code for Disneyland:rotfl:, and finally a $500 off a stay at WDW. We stuck with the 4/3 deal, since it saved us much more $$$ than the other one.

I'm dying to get one for December, so they'll probably send me one for some other time frame that I can't use.:confused3

And no rhyme or reason as to where they get the 'list' for who receives the codes. I was married over 4 years ago, have visited WDW 3 times since, have an AP in the married name and I still get pins in my maiden name!! The last time I was there (and many times) with my maiden name was in 2003. Who knows, but they seem to have all the info in their system when you give the code or phone number. I still can't figure it out. Also, I am signed up on WDW site and have the Disney Visa in my married name as well!
Also, this last pin for the $500 gift card came to both me and my husband!! Me in the maiden name and his in his name. Who knows

Yes. We were booked for 10 nights at POFQ at the AAA rate. Then we got a PIN for 40% and took advantage. Then Free Dining came along and we switched the first 5 nights to ASMu with FD.

Yes, we have gotten a discount code after we had already booked, and our travel agent (at The Magic for Less Travel) was happy to modify our reservation for us. A couple of other times a code came out that she applied and then notified us that she had done so, so we are running about 50% of our trips at a discount.

I have no idea how they decide who gets pin codes; I am of course signed up at various Disney sites and try to log into one of them at least monthly. But our discount code came to my adult son last year, and his only contact, outside of staying at WDW on my ressie, was ordering a vacation DVD. Because he was an adult we were able to use his code for our vacation, saving enough to pay for our two TS meals!

I have a trip booked for later this fall right now and just got my first code earlier this month. It is for the kids stay and eat free deal, but the dates are well before our planned travel time and the discount I already have saves us far much more $$$. It was nice to get my first code though.

I registered with a seperate email address and my maiden name and the code came to my regular email address (which is registered with my married name) with my maiden name. I've been married almost 9yrs and didn't have my regular email address when we got married. There really is NO rhyme or reason to it.
