Hi Everyone,

I have a couple of questions. My son (6) and I are heading to Disney 4/16 - 4/22. We are not staying in the parks this time, because my son found out about the new Nickelodeon hotel, so I agreed to stay there. I am ok with it becauseI'll get some time to explore Orlando as well this time.

Well my main question, is I made a PS for a 9:20am breakfast @ Crystle Palace @ MK. I have to drive there and I am not really sure what the process is. Last time, I hopped on a bus and it was great. But now I have to drive and I think park somewhere and take a ferry. I am not sure. Could someone tell me what I have to do to get there and what time they think I should leave the Nick hotel to be there. Also, do you have to wait in that huge line if you have a PS, because that may add a lot of time.

My other question is do you need a PS for the Sci-fi Cafe at MGM?

Thank you for your help. :Pinkbounc

Wow I did'nt even know there was a Nick Hotel (I just did some research on it, kinda neat).

Anyways I would leave your hotel maybe 45 minutes before the PS follow the signs to the MK parking. Then take either the monorail or the ferry to the maingate. Try and get to Palace around 10 and 15 minutes before your PS. There might be a big line with other people with PS. But, usually you won't wait that long.

I would make a PS for Sci-fi just so you don't have to wait or worry about not getting a table.

Oooooo, I'd leave the hotel more than 45 minutes early if I was staying offsite. It usually takes about 45 minutes to get from the parking lot into the Magic Kingdom. Plus, at that time of morning you are probably going to get caught in the rush hour traffic too. :(

Hopefully! When we were there in February (yes, and we're going back on Friday:)) I remember watching the morning news and seeing I4 towards Disney being literally bumper to bumper and that was during value season! We stayed offsite last April on Irlo Bronson and it took forever to get into the gate to MK.

Ok, so I couldn't deal with ever thinking about this anymore. I cancelled the Nick hotel and booked the Coranado Springs. I don't know what I was thinking in the first place. I am much happier now and I don't have to get up at the crack of dawn now. Thanks.

Oh well, I was going to tell you that you wouldn't go anywhere near I-4 staying at the Nick Hotel (formerly the HIFS, we loved it there!). It's about a 3 minute drive to DTD and all points Disney beyond that.

You'll be glad you stayed onsite. As for Sci Fi, it's become a tradition with us, and we've always used a PS although I try not to get the traditional lunch time of 12:00 or dinner at 6:00. It makes seating time a little quicker.
