I am losing my mind!!:scared1:

I recieved a 40% off code today in the mail, I am trying to figure out the 'best' way to do the trip, and maybe have some more experienced planners to help me out!!

Scenario: In Sept. '07, my mom and I were in the 'World, and took advantage of the bounceback offer. We couldn't book my dad and sis as they weren't on our reservation. We figured it would be ok, just add them when free dining is offered to everyone else. I've heard rumors that they may not be bringing free dining back, as they have changed the plan:confused3 .

So I get the 40% code today and I'm trying to figure out which way would be cheaper, using the Disney website I priced out the same trip for me and mom (nothing changed) just took 40% off the room and it seems to be cheaper, even once I have added MYW tickets and basic dining. And should I just add my dad and sis now?

I'm soooooooo confused!!

So tell me how do you calculate this without having to call WDW or is that the easiest way?
Thanks to anyone who has hung in there with me.

I have nothing to indicate that free dining will or won't be back. My money is on the fact that it WILL be back. Presuming it does get announced....

Free dining saves you 37.99 per day per adult guest. So if you have four
guests.. you'd save $151.96 PER NIGHT with free dining.

To save that much with a 40% discount, you need to be spending at least $380 per night on your resort room.

Bounceback savings vary based on the level of resort you choose to stay at *(I think)* .. so, apart from the free dining example, in most if not all cases the 40% off coupon is your best bet.

So.. I'd go ahead and rebook your trip with the 40% off code.. and wait for the free dining announcement.. if it comes.. skip the 40% off discount and go for the free dining.

Hope this helps,

Knox

So..

Thank you. That is an easier way to look at it!! I'm going to call WDW today and see if they can play around with some numbers!
