If you take the Downtown Disney boat from POR, which side does it drop you off at, West side or Marketplace side? On the DTD map I see a water taxi icon on both sides. I am trying to decide what restaurant to pick T-Rex or Rainforest and which location they drop you off at would help me decide.

Marketplace when I used it last time. Very close to Rainforest Cafe in fact.

Marketplace for sure. Don't know if you can take it further -- always got off here.

That's what I was hoping but I was curious if there are 2 different boats you can pick when leaving POR, one going to Marketplace or one going to West side...or if they all go to Marketplace.

The POR boat docks at Marketplace on the east side of DTD. There is another boat that docks there, that will take you to the west side of DTD. However, your two dining choices are both closer to Marketplace dock. Rainforest Cafe is literally at the dock. T-Rex is a ways down. It is sort-of between Fultons's (the steamboat) and the Lego Store. If you were to take the west side boat, you would be further from T-Rex than if you walked from the Marketplace dock.

Here's Robo's overall map of Downtown Disney. http://www.stitchkingdom.com/maps/index.php?showmap=38

No, all boats leaving POR go to POFQ first than Marketplace. Did notice the taxi icon also and would be curious to learn if you stay on boat (after stopping at Marketplace) does it go to the West side.

Thanks for all the responses. I will choose Rainforest since the boat docks right there in front of it. That helped make my choice. :goodvibes

No, you have to depart the POR boat at the Marketplace dock and get in line for the west side boat, which is a different boat and different route. In our experience, there isn't a big waiting line for the west side boat.

I always prefer to try restuarants that I can't do at other places. We have a Rainforest Cafe about 30 minutes from where we live so I would rather try T-Rex for the new experience.

What would be quickest shortest way to get to Raglan Road from POR? And where does this west side ferry drop you off per the map or what is it next to?
Thanks!

Per Robo's overall map of DTD (http://www.stitchkingdom.com/maps/index.php?showmap=38), the west side boat dock is near to House of Blues and Cirque de Soleil, all the way to the left in the photograph. Raglan Road is on Pleasure Island, behind Fulton's (the steamboat), in the center of the photograph. Raglan Road would appear closer to the Marketplace dock, all the way to the right in the photograph.

We have a 6pm dinner at T-Rex and the kids want to go to POFQ to get some beignets from the food court. What is going to be our best way to get there, and then back to OKW?

There is also a water taxi stop in the Pleasure Island area which is in-between the Marketplace and West side docks. ;) This dock would be the closest to Raglan Road, but I believe that if you board the water taxi at Marketplace (after getting off the POR boat) that the route takes you to the West Side dock first and then to the Pleasure Island dock and then back to Marketplace and runs continuously around that loop. When the boat docks and some people get off, they allow others to board, and then they wait a few minutes for others that may come along and get in line to board, so it seems to take a while to get around that "loop" popcorn::. It may be faster to walk from Marketplace to Raglan Road, but the boat ride is more enjoyable if you have the time to spare. :goodvibes It can be very hot and tiring when walking and you have to hurry to get to your reservation on time, so the boat ride is definitely my choice if we have the time :thumbsup2

okw boat to dtd,
then another boat to pofq (over by rainforest)
then the pofq boat back to dtd
and then back to your resort by another boat
