Question About POR.

Hello all. I booked mine and my daughter's first trip to Disney yesterday. I picked just a standard view at POR and I was wondering if any of those rooms are in the "mansions" or if I will have to stay in one of the Alligator Bayou buildings.

Any responses will be appreciated. Thanks.

Standard view rooms will be found at both AB and the mansion section. I've had a standard view room in both. In fact, after having a 'water-view' twice, I've decided the standard rooms are the way to go.
When you get to checkin you can find out which section you are in...if you really want something different, ask and see if a different bldg is possible.

Whenever I booked POR I requested the
"Mansions". That was my only request I made this trip since
the smoking rooms were done away with,
I usually asked for a Nonsmoking room.

I got my request and we were put in "Magnolia Terrace" and
we really loved the location which it was just over the bridge
from the Main Area and before the bridge was the Main Pool.

You are going to Love POR!

Don't be too disappointed if you get Alligator Bayou! We had AB18 and it was a GREAT location! I didn't have a preference but I'm glad it was AB. The mansions looked very nice but I loved the grounds of AB, there was greenery all around. You will love POR!

I stayed in POR in May. My good friend and I had a fabulous time. You have to go on the Surrey(sp?) bike around the path. It is awesome. Have a great trip

No it is not too late, you can call and ask that your request be added to your reservation. The CM will most likely remind you that your request can not be guaranteed, but getting it on your reservation is the best way to get your request considered.

Alligator Bayou is lovely. It's a beautiful portion of the resort. The building are very nice-and the rooms are great! Unfortunately, I think the name sometimes makes folks think the accomodations are like Uncle Jed's old shack before he moved to Beverly.
