Question about POR and POFQ

We are thinking of staying at a moderate and are not sure which one. One of the things that really helps my son is having a place to dig in the sand when he gets overstimulated(as if that doesn't happen at Disney) I know there is sand at CBR and CSR, but is there any playgrounds and sandboxes at POR and POFQ. My other question is do any of the moderates have a place to sit out on the balcony while the kids take a nap or go to bed early? Any insight on picking a resort would be helpful. We are going the first week in December with a 3 and 5 yr old.

None of the moderates nor the value resorts have a balcony or patio. I suppose you could bring out the chair to sit by the door so not to be in a way from others passing by.

is there any playgrounds and sandboxes at POR and POFQ.

They have playgrounds, BUT no sandboxes. I wish they did. My kids love playing in the sand.

I prefer POFQ over POR, I like the themeing at POFQ better. It's a smaller resort. Any bldg is close to everything. POFQ has only one bus stop. It is the first pick up and the first drop off. The boat ride is closer to DD than the POR. I love the pool here better. Again, I like the themeing here and it is colorful and fun to look at. I slide here looks fun and it is fun!!

But which ever you choose, have a wonderful stay!!

I have heard good things about POFQ, but I stayed at POR and was a little disapointed. The lines for the bus were horrible, and the whole resort is very spread out. This is just my opinion though, I'm sure that many people really like POR. I guess it just depends on what you are looking for. Good luck with your decision!
