Question about Pool Hopping (sort of)

I have a friend who is going to WDW in October. She and her DH are staying at POFQ. Her daughter and her DH with 2 little guys (4 and 2) are staying at the Poly. Her DD and DSIL are planning a date night, so my friend and her DH plan to go to Poly to watch the kids and get them ready for bed. Is it true she will not be able to take them to the pool since she is not staying at the Poly? Can she and her DH watch the kids while they are in the pool as long as they don't swim themselves?
I told her I would ask you guys.

So long as the kids have proper Magic Bands to operate the gates and the room door, I doubt it will be an issue.

Are your friends going to be going inside a park thus needing their Magicbands or are they going to be at a restraunt outside a park or Disney Springs?

If they don't need their magicband they can just leave them with your friends and then they will have no trouble at the pool as they can just use the adults who are staying at the Poly's bands.

Also the kids will be able to swipe the adults in even if their parents need the MBs. If a life guard checks it'll be one or two not the whole lot so just make sure you have the kids bands on you.

With a 4 & 2 yr old, I'd be in the water with them. Since they have a band to open the gate, they should be fine.

Thanks! I'm sure they would want to be in the pool but not being familiar with the Poly I wasn't sure if they had a zero entry pool it not, where they could play in the shallow water

Thank you all so much! They will be more than happy to learn that the pool is an option! I, myself, find that the little ones sleep very well after a playground session and the pool.
