question about poly

I read a thread a while ago about poly concierge, that people actually take all the food and liquior they put out for all of the concierge guests. Does this really happen?

We have never seen that behavior during our stays there. It is really a very pleasant experience.

I have never heard of that and I would hope that the CMs would put a stop to that. Although some people, I wouldn't put it past

We were there during peak Easter/Spring Break time, and we never saw anything like that -- we were actually surprised how peaceful and pleasant it was compared with the rest of WDW.

We always felt welcome to bring food and drink back to our rooms if we preferred eating there rather than the lounge.

Except for one pre-teen boy (who each morning showed up alone with PJs and did act sort of oddly, but that's a different thread), we also never saw anyone go to the lounge in previously-reported robes, PJs, or anything less than shorts and T-shirts.

It is rare for us to see that behavior when we have been there but yes we have seen it and have been told stories by CMs. One of the reasons the smaller plastic bottles of water are no longer offered is because many were found stashed and unused in the rooms at checkout. Last visit there was a family that would show up every morning and evening and take the tray from the room (trays are no longer in the lounge either because of this) and fill it up with a line of people behind them. To top it off they would show up in bathrobes and pajamas right out of bed. I know the lounge is a comfortable place and sort of like a family room at home but remember there is a certain etiquette to follow including not showing up dripping wet from the pool. Most of the time the CMs are asked not to upset the guests by confronting them so maybe it is time the rest of us speak up. If not the actions of the few will mess things up for the rest of us.

Most of the time the lounge is a very pleasant place to be but offerings have been cut back and will continue to be cut if they are abused.
