Question about points

Hi everyone. Unfortunately we lost my mom to pancreatic cancer 2 weeks ago. My dad has been in a facility for Alzheimers for the past year. They were the ones who introduced us to the Disney magic. My sister and I want to take over the deed to their DVC membership. So I might be asking a lot of questions in the near future and I apologize! I’m trying to understand as much as I can about it. I logged into the account and on the Vacation Points page it says “Use Year September 2022, Available 193. Does this mean there are 193 points to use by September 2023? Every other date has 300 points so I’m assuming my parents get 300 points per year. I have zero clue as to how long it will take to change the deed and don’t want to lose any points (if that even happens?) Hopefully my question makes sense.

It sounds like they have 300 points in a use year with 193 points left in the 2022 UY. Those points would be good until August 31, 2023 OR you can bank them and move them forward into the 2023 UY. That banking deadline is APril 30, 2023. If you choose to bank the 193 points, they will stay in the 2023 UY and will HAVE to be used by the end of that UY and cannot be borrowed or banked again. I’m so sorry for your loss too. We are heartbroken to say the least. It will be very weird going back to Disney without them but I know they would want us to continue. Disney has always been a major part of our lives. Take care
