I am going on a trip to wdw in november and probably going to buy into dvc then but i have a question about the points at your home resort. lets say i buy into dvc for 200 points and i want to split those contracts between blt and akv. this gives me the oppertunity to book 11 months out at both resorts. but lets say i want a 1 bedroom at blt and its more then my 100 pt contract can i use the points from my akv contract to cover it and still book 11 months out. please all answers will be very helpfull.

You can not use your AKV points at BLT until the 7 month mark. You could borrow next year BLT points for a total of 200 points then bank the 100 points at AKV for next year.

Points stay tied to their Home Resort until 7 mos or < but if you bank and/or borrow BLT points you can then use those points along with your current UY BLT points for a total of 300 BLT points to reserve at BLT during your owner's priority booking window ( 11 mos thru 7mos+1day prior to checkin date you want ). AKV or any other non-BLT DVC resort's points can't be used to book at BLT until 7 mos or <.

:)

Unfortunately, no, points can only be combined at the 7 month window. If you are thinking that you want to own at both resorts, look through the points needed for what you might want.

Since BLT rooms are more points than AKV, you may find that you need more BLT points than AKV. As others have said, you can use banking and borrowing to alternate stays each trip. Or, buy in such a way that you do split stays each time.

Good luck!
