Question about points usage

Hi again,

Does DVC send you a monthly or yearly statement of how many points you have, or maybe in the members only website. Or do I have to keep track of all my points, banking, borrowing separate contracts etc...

You can request a printed accounting from MS, but nothing will be automatically sent to you. What they send is a bit overwhelming- especially if you have made/changed many reservations.

I always ask for a verbal accounting with each call to MS and track everything in MSMoney. Caskbill is working on a point tracker to go with his DVC Planner - if you don't have that yet, just do a quick search for Caskbill and the free download information is in his signature.

Eventually, we are supposed to have online access to such account information thru the member's website. It has been promised for a long time. That is likely to come before we are able to make reservations online.

I keep an excel spreadsheet. Anytime I make a reservation, I confirm my balances by use year to make sure we match.

I also keep my points on a table I made in Word (hey, I'm a simple kind of girl!!).
We don't have many and I usually don't make lots of changes once ressies are made, so it really isn't that difficult.
Remember to try and Keep it Simple.
The CM's at MS will also verify your point totals when you make reservations. So far my totals and MS totals have always agreed!
