Question about points for new member

If I were to make a ressie for a few more points than I actually have, instead of borrowing points from my next year, could I pay cash for those extra few points, and if so, how much per point would I be charged?

No, there is no mechanism for such a thing.

You either borrow, or rent some points from someone on the rent/trade board. hat is a little tricky, because you probably will not be able to have the points simply transfered into your account. You will probably have to rent enough points for one full night, have the owner of those points make the reservation and then have it linked to your reservation so you won't have to change rooms.

You also have the option of checking to see if they have a night available during your stay on a cash basis with the 25% DVC discount. Sometimes these are hard to come by, but they are available. We have done this in the past..if you go this route, make sure you ask MS to link the cash reservation with the points reservation. You make the cash reservation with MS, not CRO. You can also try a cash reservation with CRO..I've hard that these too can be linked to your DVC reservation by MS, but you wouldn't get the 25% DVC discount..but you might get any other discount that might be available through CRO.

I've used "some" pts for HH 2 bdrm and then paid cash for the weekend nites. Was not able to get a discount at the time, but at least did not have to max out my points, so its definately possible.
