Question about Plaza Restaurant

As we have never eaten there before, we have made ADR's for the Plaza Restraurant this year. In reading the reviews, almost everyone mentions the lunch meal they had there (mostly favorable, a few negative) but very few for dinner. We've got 5:00 ressies, and it seems the menu is the same, so I just found it a little strange that not many people eat there later in the day. Any one here eaten there during those hours and had a good or bad experience?

I've had lunch and dinner there. It's always fine. A little crowded, but good.

Crystal Palace is good (though I prefer breakfasts there). LTT is good.

Tony's isn't good. It isn't really bad, it just isn't any good.

I ate there for dinner in September - probably about 7 pm, I'd say. It was very nice. The food at Disney tends to be heavy, so it was welcome change to have a lighter meal. They do have some entrees, but it's mainly sandwiches and such. I got a the vegetarian sandwich which was delicious. My husband had a burger which was good, but nothing out of this world. And for dessert we split a sundae, which was of course, outstanding!

The best part was we were in their back glass room and had an amazing view of the castle changing colors as we ate. It was wonderful! :)

It's not the best restaurant we went to at Disney (that would be Kona), but it's cute and I think you'll enjoy it!

The previous poster mentioned that it looked quaint and my wife thought the same thing last trip when we peeked in (no tables available at that time). Looks kinda fun!

We found the Plaza to be very enjoyable. Their menu is mostly sandwiches, which is probably why it's more popular for lunch than dinner. They also offered a meat loaf plate not on the menu the day we were there... It was yummy.

I've eaten at Plaza dinner multple times. I personally love the differant things on their menu that most other Disney places don't have. My personal choice is Chix Sand with shaved ham topper, BFF liked ruben sandwich. I will say I don't think it's really a good value on dining plan but I still love it.

I've eaten there with my family 2 or 3 times (I think always for lunch). We have always enjoyed the food...and a not so expensive place to have a TS meal. The service was not so great the last time, but I think our server was having a bad day. My kids love the sandwiches.

The ONE downside to the plaza, NO BATHROOM . . . you have to go outside and head toward the Tomorrowland Terrace to use the bathroom. This might not sound like a big deal, but if you need the bathroom in the middle of your meal, and it is down pouring out . . . .:umbrella:

That being said, it isn't THAT big a deal, the restaurant is quaint, the food is a pleasant change, and yummy. I am NOT a salad person, but the strawberry chicken salad

And, for desert, you get yummy goodness from the Ice Cream shop. What could be better?

Lunch/Dinner - we have eaten both. Loved it every single time. Never ever a bad meal. The fries are salty but pre-warned it should not be a problem.

Great sandwiches and great desserts. We as a family try not to let any server ruin our meals. Some are quick, some like to talk, some are all business (we have had one of each at this restaurant). Sit back, enjoy the view and the meal!:thumbsup2

We had dinner at Plaza and my husband and I liked it. It was nice to sit down and relax.

We eat here for dinner at least once a trip. We've never had a bad experience there and it makes for a great, lighter meal after a day in the park. I get the grilled chicken sandwich (with ham and swiss, I believe) and it never fails to impress.

VEGGIE SANDWICH! I've eaten there at the random 4 PM hour and liked it :) Sort of like dinner? lol.

We ate there a few years ago for dinner and were really impressed with how yummy it was! Guess we should make it a point to go back sometime.

It is kinda like a diner. I love it. Mostly sandwiches which makes people think of lunch. I get the turkey sandwich which is on multi grain bread with bacon, lettuce and tomato. It is huge! The soups are really good too. I am always too full for dessert but they do look good! It is small and the smaller room to the left is really 'cozy'. We were sitting against the windows one time and the server asked me for my order and then the girl next to me BUT she wasn't with us. We were so close together the server thought we were in the same party! Otherwise we love this place.

I've been thinking I'd like to visit the Plaza. I don't remember being enamored of any MK TS restaurants - not counting CRT breakfast! ;) I think ds would go nuts with the banana split I've seen pictures of!:yay:

Does the turkey sandwich use lunchmeat or turkey breast?

I've been to the plaza inn several times for both lunch and dinner. Their food is simple, but good. I think they are more known for that banana split...my sister and dh have had it and said its amazing! I personally like the brownie sundae. :thumbsup2

Love The Plaza...I always make sure I eat dinner here. The food is great...and so is the location!
