Just a quick question...

Does anyone know if a person books a platinum dream maker package, do they also get concierge access, even if they're not booked concierge?

I read someone saying YC allowed that, but I was curious about AKL, CR, GF, etc.

EDITED TO ADD:
I did a search and it appears that the platinum plan does not allow concierge access. Apparently the old plan used to. If anyone else has insight, please feel free to post :)

We'll be trying the Platinum Plan at the Poly in November. When we received the packet from our itinerary planner there was a concierge sheet in there - it had the food offerings for different times in the day. I emailed our planner and asked if we would have concierge access (we thought it might be a mistake) and she replied that we would. Whether that means we'll actually get an upgrade I don't know. So I'm keeping my fingers crossed until we get there that we'll get to stay concierge::yes::

So if you're like us and while it would be nice it's definitely not that big of a deal if we do or not, just cross your fingers. But if you absolutely MUST stay concierge I'd just book your trip concierge.

If you have any other Platinum questions I'd be happy to answer them:D

concierge access is included with the platinum plan.

DH and I are staying plat plan in November at both AKL and CR 14th floor. When we booked we asked if Concierge was included in the plan and the answer was no. Since then, the planners I've spoken with have informed me that some are both Concierge planners and platinum plan planners. It was clarified for me when I wanted to book the Sunset Safari and was told that platinum plan was not concierge and I would need to upgrade to concierge to be eligible. Of course I did.:bounce:

I did the plan twice before it changed names and became the Platinum Plan (it used to be called the Grand Plan). For my first Grand Plan stay, I booked a concierge room in the main building of the GF and only had concierge access because I had a concierge room booked in the first place. For my second Grand Plan stay, I booked a two-bedroom suite at the GF. That was back when suites did NOT have concierge access. Because the resort couldn't fit my party size into a suite in the main building, we were put into a suite in Conch Key. And because we were in a suite in Conch Key, we did NOT have concierge access. (What I find amusing is that for my next two-bedroom suite stay, we were again put in Conch Key. This time I did NOT book the Grand Plan. We did have concierge access, though, because the resort had changed its rules in regards to suites. Go figure.)

I have had the Platinum Plan booked at least twice within the past few years. Both times I was told that I would not have concierge access unless I booked a concierge room.

I have found that with all things Disney, everything is subject to change without prior notice. I only state my experiences since they seem to jibe with what Alaska Catdog has experienced.
